The year 2009 has gone. Much happened on GermanBC. The year 2010 has come. Much more will happen on GermanBC.

A website about and for the German-speaking community located and residing in British Columbia is strongly depending on ots members, so we want to thank you for the really great support.

With this article we want to give you a short and small overview about what is planned on GermanBC.

Basics!

Beside more and new or different activities for online marketing to promote GermanBC, we will mainly concentrate on establishing some new services for our members as a community and, of course, for their businesses.

This means, that we will have to spent a lot of time for conceptional work and development within the first month of the new year. Beside the introduction of new interfaces to other systems and services and the further development of already running or established services, we will have to update the whole community and content management system to the approprivate current versions.

We do explicitly write this in our first article this year, because it may happen, that some of our activities may get delayed according to the fact, that we will spent as much time as possible into the development; just because we want the resulting time span to be as short as possible.

Certainly we will inform you about all completed steps and services and when they will be introduced and set into operation. Sure, there will be some special offers all new services.

What next?

As already mentioned we will strongly expand our keyword and linking online marketing campaigns to increase the search engine ranking for our website and get much more members and interaction into our community and therefore potential customers for all people publishing business listings and advertisings on GermanBC.

These activities will include the release of a little application for desktop pc's, which was already announced last year. The concept for this tool has changed, it will not only be a rss reader for the feeds of this website, so it might surprise you.

More?

We already started last year to initiate different cooperations to other portals, online or even some printed magazines, which are out of the same content-oriented context, but with other geographical or audience-oriented targets. These cooperations will on the one hand help us get more publicity and visitors, on the other hand our members will be able to get some additional advantages or special offers for business listings, advertisings or other services where we will cooperate.
